The older I’ve gotten..the more I’ve learned to love Christmas. When I was younger..Christmas was honestly all about getting good presents. I used to get in trouble by my mom for “searching” around the house for them..always figuring out where they were hidden before she had a chance to wrap them. It was sooo fun to me finding all of the things I had begged my mom the whole entire year for..only to be just as happy to get it Christmas morning, even if I knew what it was already. Now that I am older, nothing more puts a smile on my face then watching someone’s face light up because they received a gift that they love. The joy of giving is what truly makes me happy. Christmas to me means so much more now that I truly understand the gift of giving to others. I was asked by Ignite Media to participate in the #ASGiveWarmth Campaign, sponsored by Altar’d State. Although I have been compensated, all opinions are my own.
Altar’d State’s mission is simple: serving as an inspiration, empowering others by giving more than they receive & standing out for good to glorify God (yasss!). Helping others has always been really important to me. For example, earlier this year the city that I love and have learned to call home, Houston, experienced a natural disaster. A flood ruined many peoples homes, all of their belongings and in lack of better terms, their lives as well. I spent days trying to figure out a way that Styl’d Grace could contribute. I decided to partner with my local Altar’d State store and host a shopping event where proceeds would go to Children who needed school supplies for the upcoming school year. Through my local Altar’d State partnership, I was able to donate to children in need and help them prepare for school this year, giving them a little bit of hope in an unfortunate circumstance.
Doing good has & always will feel good. My event was small compared to what Altar’d State does to give on a regular basis! Every Monday, proceeds of sales from every store go to a different charity. As if shopping for a cause could get any easier, all you have to do is buy something on a Monday from the store. I love that about this brand, as if the clothes aren’t enough to shop at the store anyways- you now have another reason! There’s so much cute stuff this gift giving season to pick from too- I was able to get some goodies for my mom, my dog, and my best gals all in one trip!
Giving is always worth it, knowing that you are going to put a smile on someone elses face. Altar’d State continues to give on a regular basis, and this Christmas is no different. Join me in giving this year and always remember to Stand out for Good.
Until Next Time!
OMG how is it already Christmas already? This year, Altar’d State has made this holiday season even easier with Gift Guides made with the perfect items! I was asked by Ignite Social Media to participate in the #ASGiveWarmth campaign, sponsored by Altar’d State. Although I have been compensated, all opinions are my own.
I have always loved Christmas, for obvious reasons. The idea of being able to make someones day a little better by giving a gift has always brought me so much joy! I tend to spend so much time looking for the perfect gift, one that matches whoever I am buying for personality, style, etc. For example, I love fun saying on things, especially coffee mugs! I also love socks, and Altar’d State has so many cute little items like this year. They’re the best stocking stuffers, white elephant gifts, or even small gifts for coworkers. One thing I really like to do is get the same item for close friends, but with different sayings or bible verses on them. That way, the gift is even more from the heart!
“A generous person will prosper, whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” – Proverbs 11:25
Of course, I always (on accident) tend to grab some stuff for myself too! This year, Altar’d States gift guide has some great dresses, perfect for a Christmas party, cozy cardigans, and some other clothing its too! Our furry friends haven’t been forgotten either, with bandannas, shirts and collars for them as well. I, of course will be snagging some things for little Parker- it’s a must!
“Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.” – Luke 6:30
Simply said, Altar’d State has got you covered this Christmas season! Be sure to head over now to check out all of the great items, picked for women like us in mind. I promise, Altar’d State has for sure made our Christmas shopping a ton easier this year.
Until Next Time!
New York & Company has always been my go to for great staple items. From basic tops to super fun printed bottoms- they literally have everything. My experience was no different when I stopped by the New York & Company over in Rice Village last week- I literally saw so many things that I could use! I recently went on work trip- so stopping in before I left was a must!
I picked up the cutest pink lace top- who would’ve known! One thing I love about NY&C is that they have items that are versatile. “Work clothes” are no longer work clothes, and can be transitioned from work to dinner easily! I plan on doing that with all of the things that I got! For example- the pink top I got was perfect for a work presentation that I had, but can also be worn with some dark denim for a night out with the girls! Either way- I’m winning & this top is the perfect transitional piece for my closet!
Another thing I love about this store is their fab collab with some of my favorites! They have the Eva Mendes collection which is amazing, but better yet they have a line with Gabrielle Union as well! Picture Olivia Pope in Scandal meets Carrie Bradshaw in Sex in the City in this collection- it’s sophisticated yet sassy at the same time. I love it and I just read an article stating that the line was going to continue for a while longer, so I am so excited to see more.
New York & Company always has great deals too! I literally can build a whole outfit for under $100 and most of the time have some extra money to spare! So if you haven’t had a chance to stop by the store- make sure you do so soon! If you just can’t wait- you can of course shop online, but I promise the Rice Village location is so much better!
Until Next Time!
I’m sure by now that it’s more than obvious that Rice Village is one my favorite go-to places to shop! Nontheless, there are some stores that I frequent more than others, one of them being Grace Anna’s. I love this store- not only is it huge- but they have tons of stuff ranging from kitchen towels with super cute quotes, to the mos comfy socks ever. In addition, the store is full of fab clothes perfect for grabbing a last minute outfit! I have tried many times to leave this store without buying anything- but always fail. This time, I just had to grab these cute little “Hello Summer” cups that were less than $15!
Can we talk about their clothes for a second? As stated before, I have come here so many times for a quick outfit! By quick I mean a dress, a romper, or a cute pair of shirts! I am always able to find something far from ordinary and love how they have so much print! Being a neutral gal, this store always makes my buy stuff I otherwise wouldn’t. I bought the shorts photoed above recently (in addition to the cups, lol), and can’t wait to wear them again! The print is neutral enough to match other colors, but can also be kept simple with minimal accessories!
Grace Anna’s is obviously a one stop shop for many reasons- as I’ve clearly explained (ha!). If you’re in the Rice Village area (Houston, of course!), I strongly suggest you make a pit stop by there soon! You could either leave out with a beach bag, a coffee mug, a new wardrobe- or anything in between. Either way, I promise you won’t be disappointed!
Until Next Time!
One of my favorite stores has made it to Rice Village & I couldn’t be more excited! Altar’d State has finally touched down in Central Houston and I am so excited to be one of the first to break the news! I fell in love with this brand last Christmas due to the uniqueness of the brand- and it has been on my top list of places to shop ever since!
Altar’d State has basically anything you could need- from super fun tops and dresses to probably some of the best wall art I’ve ever laid eyes one! One thing I really love about the Rice Village location is all of their Houston and Texan stuff! Plus, it doesn’t help that they have some great books too! Being the bookworm that I am, the feeling of picking up a good read while shopping for some fab outfits is the ultimate success!
Another thing I love about this store is that they have a day dedicated to giving back! On Monday’s, also know as “Mission Monday”, where a portion of sales from the day goes to charity! This is one of the things I really love about the brand, in addition to other small touches such as the Prayer Requests in the dressing room, the super cute coffee mugs, and just about everything else!
Altar’d State has been a fav of mine for a while now, and I am certain that now it is closer to me, I will shopping there a lot more often! There’s nothing more rewarding than shopping with a brand that shares the same core values than yourself. Altar’d State is more than a store to me- it’s a blessing for those who don’t know Jesus to get a glimpse of the people who do.
Until Next Time!
