New York & Company has always been my go to for great staple items. From basic tops to super fun printed bottoms- they literally have everything. My experience was no different when I stopped by the New York & Company over in Rice Village last week- I literally saw so many things that I could use! I recently went on work trip- so stopping in before I left was a must!
I picked up the cutest pink lace top- who would’ve known! One thing I love about NY&C is that they have items that are versatile. “Work clothes” are no longer work clothes, and can be transitioned from work to dinner easily! I plan on doing that with all of the things that I got! For example- the pink top I got was perfect for a work presentation that I had, but can also be worn with some dark denim for a night out with the girls! Either way- I’m winning & this top is the perfect transitional piece for my closet!
Another thing I love about this store is their fab collab with some of my favorites! They have the Eva Mendes collection which is amazing, but better yet they have a line with Gabrielle Union as well! Picture Olivia Pope in Scandal meets Carrie Bradshaw in Sex in the City in this collection- it’s sophisticated yet sassy at the same time. I love it and I just read an article stating that the line was going to continue for a while longer, so I am so excited to see more.
New York & Company always has great deals too! I literally can build a whole outfit for under $100 and most of the time have some extra money to spare! So if you haven’t had a chance to stop by the store- make sure you do so soon! If you just can’t wait- you can of course shop online, but I promise the Rice Village location is so much better!
Until Next Time!
I’m sure by now that it’s more than obvious that Rice Village is one my favorite go-to places to shop! Nontheless, there are some stores that I frequent more than others, one of them being Grace Anna’s. I love this store- not only is it huge- but they have tons of stuff ranging from kitchen towels with super cute quotes, to the mos comfy socks ever. In addition, the store is full of fab clothes perfect for grabbing a last minute outfit! I have tried many times to leave this store without buying anything- but always fail. This time, I just had to grab these cute little “Hello Summer” cups that were less than $15!
Can we talk about their clothes for a second? As stated before, I have come here so many times for a quick outfit! By quick I mean a dress, a romper, or a cute pair of shirts! I am always able to find something far from ordinary and love how they have so much print! Being a neutral gal, this store always makes my buy stuff I otherwise wouldn’t. I bought the shorts photoed above recently (in addition to the cups, lol), and can’t wait to wear them again! The print is neutral enough to match other colors, but can also be kept simple with minimal accessories!
Grace Anna’s is obviously a one stop shop for many reasons- as I’ve clearly explained (ha!). If you’re in the Rice Village area (Houston, of course!), I strongly suggest you make a pit stop by there soon! You could either leave out with a beach bag, a coffee mug, a new wardrobe- or anything in between. Either way, I promise you won’t be disappointed!
Until Next Time!
One of my favorite stores has made it to Rice Village & I couldn’t be more excited! Altar’d State has finally touched down in Central Houston and I am so excited to be one of the first to break the news! I fell in love with this brand last Christmas due to the uniqueness of the brand- and it has been on my top list of places to shop ever since!
Altar’d State has basically anything you could need- from super fun tops and dresses to probably some of the best wall art I’ve ever laid eyes one! One thing I really love about the Rice Village location is all of their Houston and Texan stuff! Plus, it doesn’t help that they have some great books too! Being the bookworm that I am, the feeling of picking up a good read while shopping for some fab outfits is the ultimate success!
Another thing I love about this store is that they have a day dedicated to giving back! On Monday’s, also know as “Mission Monday”, where a portion of sales from the day goes to charity! This is one of the things I really love about the brand, in addition to other small touches such as the Prayer Requests in the dressing room, the super cute coffee mugs, and just about everything else!
Altar’d State has been a fav of mine for a while now, and I am certain that now it is closer to me, I will shopping there a lot more often! There’s nothing more rewarding than shopping with a brand that shares the same core values than yourself. Altar’d State is more than a store to me- it’s a blessing for those who don’t know Jesus to get a glimpse of the people who do.
Until Next Time!
I have officially become that gal who never goes to the mall. I hardly ever (like, EVER) go to the mall anymore & almost all of my purchases comes from boutiques or online. Online because who doesn’t like presents when they get home (LOL!), and boutiques because let’s face it- the options are just better. Better quality, more uniqueness and wayy better items. Hence why I was in Rice Village last week grabbing some spring must haves. Trends change, as they always will- but boutiques carry more than “trendy” items. One of my favorite stores I love to visit in Rice, Hemline, just got some of their new arrivals in and I am obsessed. I had such a hard time deciding what to get this time, which is pretty common for me anyways!
From dresses to the cutest shorts to the tops- all of the new arrivals are fab! I especially loved all of their new accessories they have currently, including some fun clutches. I’ve never liked clutches much, as I love carrying lots of stuff. This little one I found was the perfect balance of neutral and bright colors & I just had to have it! I also loved the weekender that I found- as again, I love my random pops of color. This one was huge- so perfect for someone on the go, and great for spring.
There’s also lots of fun dresses and some good accessories! I especially loved all of their necklaces as their assortment was really good! I’m normally pretty simple, so I don’t buy lots of jewely, but these were all fab! I really liked the smaller ones- they were perfect for layering! Needless to say, If you haven’t had a chance to stop by Hemline in the past couple of weeks- I strongly suggest you go soon. You won’t be sorry!
Until Next Time!
It’s March AKA time to start my spring shopping! I love spring clothing and all of the fun prints, dresses etc., so I was one happy gal when I came across Mint Julep Boutique. Mint Julep Bouitique is the cutest store that has the most amazing items. The best part is, they have a great assortment online so you don’t even have to leave your house to shop with them! Although I have been compensated for this post, all opinions are my own.
With all of their unique clothing, it’s no wonder that they’re one of the fastest growing women’s retailers in the U.S. I love this zoey top, because it’s just that Unique! A lot of people think that you can only wear an off-the-shoulder top one way (off-the-shoulder), but that’s totes wrong! To switch up your look, you can always add a scarf! Doing so completely changes your outfit and you can add fun pops of color this way too.
Not only is this top versatile, it’s a steal too- being under $50! I linked some more of their fab items below, and you can also check out their insta for more! All the links are provided, & be sure to sign up their email for $10.00 off your first order. Happy Shopping!
This is the perfect top for brunch with the girls!
Being the shoe lover that I am, I appreciate a pair that is both stylish & comfy! Points to this pair for being both- && being only $35.00!
Between those shoes & that dress, I am sold on this outfit! A must have and another great deal!Needless to say- if you haven’t checked out The Mint Julep Boutique, you have to soon! Be sure to check out my top too- it’s quickly become one of my favs and is selling out fast! Don’t forget to show how you #ShopTheMint over on insta too- I would love to see how you style your new looks!
Until Next Time!
