Happy Labor day! Everyone loves a great scarf & a great pair of denim, so what better way to dress this day with a American flag scarf. I love scarves and pair them with anything from denim to skirts to dresses. Speaking of denim,  My go-to pair is a pair of Ralph Lauren Classic Flares I found at a thrift shop a few years ago! Ralph Lauren has great denim that is not only comfortable to wear, but lasts a long time as well. Lucky for us…classic pieces never go out of style and are always available. I linked some similar items to this outfit below, including my wedges with are super comfy!

“She is clothed in strength and dignity & she laughs without fear of the future.”

– Proverbs 31:25

IMG_1525-1

Proverbs 31 as a whole is filled with AMAZING proclamations of what a woman can and should be. Verse 25 is simply a daily reminder of everything a woman can claim to be on a daily basis.

A few weeks ago, I went through the numerical significance of the verse Proverbs 31:25 & if you hadn’t had a chance to read it yet, you can find it here: The Bible verse every woman should know: Part 1. This week, I wanted to take a deeper look at the true meaning of the verse.

Proverbs 31:25 starts out by saying : “She is clothed with strength and dignity….”. Clothes are worn by everyone in society which means that we, as women, are literally walking around daily with a dress of strength and pumps of dignity on.  We, YOU, wake up strong and dignified each and every day.

\ˈdig-nə-tē\

Noun

the state or quality of being worthy of honor or respect.

The word dignity has been defined as ‘the state or quality of being worthy of honor or respect’. Not only are you covered in strength, you are worthy of honor and respect as well.

The verse also says: “..& she laughs without fear of the future.” Being the tagline of my blog, this part is my personal daily reminder. So many times I myself get wrapped up in worrying about what’s going to happen next in life  or what my next move in life is going to be. It’s easy to look at others lives and compare them to our own, thinking that we are not where should be. But this verse tells us to simply “laugh without fear of the future.” Meaning it’s handled & already been taken care of. And we can laugh..and be fabulous!

The numbers in 31:35 as discussed earlier mean “Complete, Divided Grace.” Within this verse every woman can take away two amazing things:

  1. You are fabulous in every way. You were designed to be & nothing can take away from that-it is God’s Grace.
  2. NOTHING-ASOLUTELY NOTHING can complete you more than God can, so worrying about the future and what’s to come is silly and useless. (Easier said than done, I know). There’s nothing to worry about- so just be happy and laugh.  Be beautiful & be you!

Summer has officially come to an end, and I couldn’t let it go without posting the most prized possession in my closet=this purple pleated maxi skirt! I love maxi skirts for many reasons, including the carefree-ness of them (I think I just made up a word?, ha!).  Maxi’s can go from summer to winter, just add some boots and a sweater & you have an early fall outfit! I normally am not a fan of pleats, but love this pleated skirt because it adds a little bit of girlyness without being too girly! Anyways, the deets to this outfit are below- I’ve linked similar items since mine is currently sold out so I added some other amazing pleated maxi choices!

P.S- I have some more looks with pleated skirts: here I styled maxi & a sweater , here a pleated mini & here my pleated mini styled a different way

Jumpsuit= the all-in-one outfit. I could go on & on about how much I love jumpsuits! They’re good for just about any occasion, from work to dinner to  night out. I can admit unashamed that I have about 10+ jumpsuits in my closet and my collection continues to grow on a regular basis! From simple basic colors to fun  all-over prints, Jumpsuits can make anyone feel fab. I like to always wear heels when wearing them though, especially if they are the wide legged kind as seen in the photo above. This way, I can ensure that my legs still look long and the all-over pattern doesn’t look too overbearing. Although my current outfit is unavailable, I’ve linked some similar items below!

“She is clothed in strength and dignity & she laughs without fear of the future.”

– Proverbs 31:25

This bible  verse is memorized by many & recited by most. One of the most known verses throughout young women today, Proverbs 31:25 is all over pinterest as well as other social media platforms..but how many have actually studied   the words? MY favorite verse of all time  (….I mean OBVIOUSLY..it’s tattooed on my wrist), this verse has probably the best message any woman today needs to fully understand and carry with them daily. Since its my favorite and so important to me.. I will be breaking this post down into two parts. Part one is all about numbers. Numbers have meaning, especially in biblical terms. The numbers 3,1,2, & 5 align perfectly as you will soon see below:

three:
The number three, in biblical terms,  signifies completeness. This can be shown in the popular saying ” A cord of three is not easily broken.”   & the fact that Jesus was in the grave for three days & nights.
one:
One is the only number divided by itself, coinciding with completeness. It’s always said that “you are your worse enemy,”..due to the fact that we, women especially, are quick to stand in our own way, not believing in ourselves & vice versa.
two:
Two has, and will always ,stand for division. There is always two components in life: Good & Evil, Heaven & Hell, Men & Women.
five:
Lastly, five stands for grace. Multiplied by itself (5X5) ultimately means ‘grace upon grace’. The number 5 is popular in  many cultures, such as Chinese culture for example (Lucky #5). You can read all about the word Grace on a previous post I wrote last week titled  Why The Name?.
So together with these meanings, we have: COMPLETE, DIVIDED GRACE.

Simply said: all you will ever need to be complete is God alone, because God’s Grace is divided among all of us. Be bold, be beautiful, be you. Part 2 coming soon.
