Weekly Inspiration- Matthew 28:18-20

Happy Wednesday! This week’s Wardrobe Wednesday comes from Matthew 28:18-20-

18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

I am such a planner! I have an organizer that I write everything in, literally everything, from the days I need to do laundry to the errands I need to run on the way home-I write it all down. I like knowing when things are going to happen, how they’re to happen, & how I can effect them. I love knowing all aspects of anything that pertains to myself-my future included. When something doesn’t go my way-I panic. I think and think of how I can change anything I don’t like and make it go my way. It’s times like this that I have to remember that God is in control of everything- and it’s in these moments I tell myself to “chill” (literally).

This verse reminds us that Jesus is in control of everything on the earth (refer to verse 18). Matthew 28 is a refresher that regardless of what we see happening around us, God is the leader of all of our steps and knows our final destinations in life. Even when things seem unclear or confusing, we can still know to be true that God has already planned the outcomes for our lives. When things seem like they are falling apart, they are truly falling together. This week, my challenge for you is to do nothing but relax. Chill & enjoy the rest of the week knowing that God is in control of your life.
