Weekly Inspiration- Psalms 142:3

Happy Wednesday! This week’s Wardrobe Wednesday comes from Psalms 142:3-

“When my spirit grows faint within me, it is you who watch over my way.”

These last few weeks have been entirely too busy! I have been traveling to see family, have had 4 birthday events back to back, graduations, as well as my own personal things going on. Needless to say, I am beyond tired! I’ve felt like I have had countless things to do and not enough hours in the day to do them. It is times like these that I can literally imagine God looking down on us shaking his head saying ‘If she would just slow down and rest & realize everything is taken care of.”

I have the personality where I like getting things done in a timely manner. To me, a timely manner is always ahead of schedule, so I find myself busy doing something every single day. If I am not busy doing something, I am thinking about all that needs to get done and how I can get it done faster. Throughout this past month, I’ve learned to slow down. Not because I wanted to-but because I had to. I found myself getting more and more tired & God simply telling me to “chill”.

This week, my challenge for you is to realize one simple thing- God watches over you, even when you feel like you’re tired & are carrying all the weight of the world on your shoulders. When your tired & feel as though you have too much going on that you need to get done, remember that God is the one whose already planned your entire life out, you simply need to step back and let him do what he needs to do. Get out of your own way sometimes!

Until next time!
