Weekly Inspiration- Luke 11:11-13

Happy Wednesday! This weeks weekly inspiration comes from Luke 11:11-13-

“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

I love this passage so much- as it is so relate-able and realistic! I am probably one of the most stubborn people that I know! I like things done my way, and for sure in my timing. Most of all- I am also a bit of a perfectionist- so I like doing things myself as I don’t trust others to do the task how I would like! Needless to say (ha), I can be a bit cray sometimes. In addition to that, I also am doing 100 things and once- always worrying about the next. This passage in Luke is the perfect reminder that God will always give us our hearts desires- as long as we ask for them!

As previously stated, I don’t like asking for help much. Basically, I will wait until the last minute if I need help with something- trying every and all other options before admitting to myself that I can’t do it all alone. Unfortunately, I tend to act this way in every situation. I love this verse because it reminds us (myself included!) that God won’t leave us hanging- and will give us what we ask. At the right time, and in the right moments. Our hearts desires will be filled, more than we could ever imagine! Never think that God doesn’t hear you out- even if i seems like it ain’t listening!

Until Next Time!
