Weekly Inspiration- Philippians 2:3-4

Happy Wednesday! This weeks weekly inspiration comes from Philippians 2:3-4-

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility, value others above yourself, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others.”

Such a loaded sentence with so much truth in it! It’s so easy to get caught up in our own lives- in our own desires, our own “wish lists”, our own everything. I think this is sooo human nature and something that everyone can admit to. It’s easy to forget the needs of others when we are so so worried abut ourselves. Living in Houston, just a simple drive downtown, or anywhere honestly reminds me just how blessed I am. On most street corners, you can normally find someone who is homeless standing with a sign. Whether they are telling the truth or not, seeing someone standing outside in the rain, heat etc. asking for a few dollars really puts into perspective how blessed I am, no matter the “drama (as I claim it)” I’m dealing with at that given moment.

This week, regardless of anything, I want you to realize how blessed you are! If you are reading this you either have access to a phone or a computer, so you are blessed! I challenge you to be a blessing to someone else! Whether it is blessing someone on a large scale or a small one- remember that we were placed on this earth not for our own selfish needs, but to be a blessing to others. Just think if everyone blessed someone every day- so many unknown needs would be filled!

P.S.- Deets to the outfit above can be found here.  I love the fit, so I linked some similars below!

Until Next Time!
