I talked in an earlier post about how I think it’s completely acceptable to wear white after labor day (post is here). In terms of fashion, I’ve always been a fan of simplicity. I love wearing neutrals and white has always been one of my favorites. I live in jumpsuits, athleisure pieces, and am almost always wearing neutral colors (Funny fact- I have tried for years to wear a color on my nails besides nude, black, or light pink & can’t do it!). Wearing all white has always been something that I tend to do unmeaningly all the time- whether to brunch with the girls or a quick run to the grocery store. For this all white look, I kept it as simple as possible, wearing just the essentials.
In addition to all white, I have also recently become a recent fan of slide-ons! I have never been a sneaker gal, but current trends are allowing designers to create beyond fab shoes! I am proud to say that throughout this year, I’ve bough a pair (or two!) of “fashion forward kicks.” For this look, I literally did nothing more but an update to the oh so common “jeans & t-shirt look.” My t-shirt is from Madewell & a must have. This particular v-neck comes in all colors and all sizes, even xxs, and is the softest tee I’ve ever worn!
A white tee is something that can be easily dressed up or down and worn with many other items. Jeans and a tee always go well, but their are so many other options! For example, a white tee can be tucked into darker denim and layered with a leather jacket and some heels for a night out on the town. Likewise, a tee shirt can also be worn over a dress and side knotted to turn your dress into a skirt. The only trick to this last idea is to make sure that your dress is not too loose or free flowing. Needless to say, it is obvious that everyone needs a white tee in their closet!
P.S- Madewell is a great store to buy many staples, as I discussed in a previous post here.
Until Next Time!
