I love a good toddler printable worksheet! Not only are they easy to use (and most of the time free!), they are great for keeping littles busy when you need a minute to do something, on the go, or are looking for a fun way to do something educational. I have found so much joy in making them, that I have started selling toddler printable worksheets & sensory play over on my Etsy shop, Shop Wanderbloom. Sharing below 5 easy ways to incorporate toddler printable worksheets into play or learning time with your little one!

5 ways to use toddler printable worksheets
Toddler printable worksheets are an affordable & great way to teach your little one something new, or just do something fun! I have rounded up below easy ways to incorporate them into play + learning time:
Use educational toddler printable worksheets
Using educational toddler printable worksheets is the easiest way to introduce subjects like writing and simple math and counting printable worksheets! Print out different ones & choose some each week to rotate, making the activity fun & engaging. There are a lot of free printable available out there, or you can always search Etsy for exactly what you are looking for. You can even use toddler printable flash cards, for a true learning experience.

Create a “morning book” with toddler printable worksheets
Using free preschool worksheets, create a “morning book” for your little one to do daily. These can be a combination of different printable that you find or you can make your own printable activities! This way to use toddler printables is one of my favorite, especially with educational printable. Since you will be doing the same ones over and over (such as number and letter tracing), you can track your littles one progress the more that you use it!
Create sensory play with toddler printable worksheets
Using printable worksheets with a sensory bin is a great way to enhance your littles imaginative play time! I’ve created some over on my Etsy shop with fun themes like a butterfly counting sensory activity & a color matching toddler printable.

Create educational matching games
Using preschool printable like a matching games or flash cards for something simple to give your little to do when on the go like a road trip or out to dinner. There are many different ones you can find online, such as number recognition and others that help grow fine motor skills.
How to make printable worksheets for toddlers
Can’t find a printable that you like? It is so easy to make printable worksheets on your own! Sharing steps below:
- Decide what you want the printable to look like & what its “purpose” will be. This could be something like working on color matching or number recognition.
- Create your printable using a design platform. This can be something elaborate like using an Adobe program, Canva, or even something simple like using Microsoft word.
- Print your printable & let the fun begin! I recommend laminating the printable to make it more durable and more likely to be used more than once.

That’s it! Hope this quick guide has inspirited you to incorporate toddler printable into your daily lives with your little one, or even imspired you to make your own!
