Give Back this Fall with Frost Bank!

The definition of Generosity is simple: the quality of being kind and generous.Kindness is something that I strive to add to my life on a daily basis. Whether it’s letting someone over in traffic that seems to be in a rush, assisting a coworker at work, or helping a friend by simply listening, kindness is something that we can all give freely. The best thing about being kind, is that it doesn’t have to even cost anything!

One really easy way to show generosity is to do something without expecting anything in return. There are many ways to do this, but the easiest way is just by volunteering. It’s amazing at how the giving of someones time can mean to someone else. If you’re a local Houstonian CultureMap has made this really easy to do so and has started a Charity Guide  that allows you to search through many charities, finding one that best suits your interest in terms of volunteering! Don’t worry, if you’re not in Houston, they also have other websites for other locations in Texas too!

One Charity that I’ve always been passionate about is the Boys & Girls Club. Their mission is enable children who are in need to reach their full potential are productive, caring citizens! They do this by providing mentors, education and events of all sorts! With so many types of opportunities, there are many ways to volunteer! You can sign up to be a mentor, help at one of their facilities by something like teaching an art class, or even give monetary donations! I love being able to volunteer my time when I have the opportunity, but giving monetary donations is such an easy way to give back!

Giving back also has a great impact on those who do so! Frost Bank did some research and discovered that those who give back and live a “optimistic lifestyle” are not only more likely to experience better financial health, but also have a deeper understanding between financial wealth & a stronger, more positive mindset. With this, people who are optimistic are more able to manage finances, learn from past financial mistakes, and even are good at saving money!Living an optimistic lifestyle is something that I strive for on a regular basis. Although volunteering is just a small portion of this, I have found it to be the most rewarding. Give back this Fall by doing something for someone, without expecting anything in return. I promise, you will great about the impact (whether big or small) you are making on someone else’s life!

Until Next Time!,
