It’s so funny thinking that I used to HATE pink..and now I want it everywhere! Although I still don’t wear the color a lot..ever since I found out we were having a girl I envisioned a small intimate pink baby shower in Houston with all of my best girl friends. Although it wasn’t easy, Ryan made sure it happened and a few weekends ago my pink dreams came to life!
Since I knew exactly what I wanted and didn’t want to burden anyone with my vision, I planned the entire thing myself with the help of a few friends. Some of my details included personalized glass tags, personalized party favor tags, special cookies and some fun games! I wanted this event to be very casual and lighthearted so I really didn’t “schedule” much- just good times with good friends!
There were a few things that were non negotiable though- we had to have good food (and cookies!). We chose a restaurant in Houston known for their small, but good menu and a good friend of mine made sure my personalized cookies were some to remember. Another non negotiable was my dress. It took me forever to find the perfect dress that matched just how I wanted- I ended up ordering a few different ones and I’m so glad I chose the one I did. Fun fact: I had planned to wear heels the day of my shower but my feet were swollen from flying so I ended up wearing my Gucci sneakers (one of my push presents!) instead. Needless to say, my feet for sure thanked me later!
Overall, it was a perfect day and I couldn’t of been happier with how everything turned out!
