Taking “Life Plans” for what they are

Whew this weekend flew by so fast! I am sooo over Houston weather ya’ll..it was beautiful all last week & then fell down into the 50s yesterday and today. I know I am not the only one that complained about this, I am so beyond ready for spring! One thing for sure, no matter how long we have to wait for our 80 degree weather to come back, I still can’t complain about the weather here in the H. Overall, it’s pretty amazing.

When I moved back to Houston in 2014 (after being gone a year), I didn’t really know what I was going to do. I was taking a chance, knowing my heart was set in Texas. I was soo ready to be back..I quit my job on a Monday & was packed and driving back that Friday. Talk about determination (LOL).  I just knew that something here in Houston was calling my name & I had to be back “home”. Flash forward 4 years later & it still astonishes me the life God has blessed me to live. I have a job I couldn’t love more (literally!), my girls who I could never replace, and my fur babies who make every day better. Granted, I might not have everything figured out by now- but I am soo okay with that.

I say that all to say that it’s okay to not know your “life plan” step by step. Being the planner that I am, I wouldn’t of said this a few years ago. I would’ve said to plan every month you could- calculating everything just perfectly. Now, I think that would be beyond boring. Part of the beauty of life is the aspect of the “unknowingness”  (totes just made that word up) of the plans God has for you, but knowing that there is one nevertheless. With my birthday coming up soon & almost yet another year older- I am learning that “Lifes Little Plans” are just how they are supposed to be- just how they are.

Until Next Time!

What a fun read. I, too, have embraced the unknown. There’s fear, but mostly excitement about having absolutely no clue where I’ll be in five years or even two. Here’s to the non-planners 😊
