Mondays have always been one of my favorite days! I always get so excited to start the week & mark some things off of my “to do” list. I haven’t always been this way- but the last few years there has nothing I enjoy more than getting my week started off. Don’t get me wrong, I still love my weekends, but Mondays are almost like a fun “challenge” that I really do look forward to taking on every week. I’ve been gone for a while- I’ve traveled a lot for work, spent some much needed time with friends & family and every had a birthday (big 28, LOL). I happened to do a tad bit of shopping too – I was for sure feeling like my wardrobe needed bit of a face lift.

This happens every spring- I look in my closet & feel like I have absolutely nothing to wear! I mean I do, but then I don’t. In recent years I’ve been a lot better about buying more staple items than items that are a “fab” or “trendy”. It’s always good buying investment pieces, but I was feeling for a bit that my closet was missing “fun”! Perfect example of the drama- I wear black on a regular basis most times, so most of my staple items are either black or a dark neutral tone. Every other time during the year (except Spring) this is fine, but Spring/Summer is where I have to get creative. Due to this, I normally always buy some new things in the Spring! I got this pinstripe top from Loft recently & am obsessed. It’s true to size and can go with almost anything- I mean, stripes are basically a neutral right?!
I’ve always been a fan of wrap shirts- they are perfect for the office & then can transition to girls night too. If you’re anything like me & get cold easily (even during hotter months, ha!), this top is great too because it actually does have sleeves. And can we talk about these shoes? I’m in LOVE with them! I got them in my trunk club earlier this month and can honestly say I’ve worn them at least 3 times every week since. Not only are they comfy (automatically a win in my book), they’re the perfect summer color so go with pretty much anything. I linked my whole outfit above & some other wrap tops too…because I’m about 90% sure I’ll be living in this style all spring long!
