9 Things You Probably Don’t Know About Me (because I couldn’t think of 10)

I will be the first to say that I have not been “On the Scene” as much as I normally am! This has been due to partly having a crazy hectic life/work schedule, but also just because ya girl needed some serious down time. I needed time to re-align my goals for the rest of the year & had to make sure I was on track with some personal things I wanted to accomplish. Well, the year is officially at its half mark and I couldn’t be happier for how this year has turned out so far. Due to this, I decided to re-introduce myself to all of the new readers that I have gained over the last few months! First & foremost- hayyy & I’m so happy you’re here. I’m a pretty private person, so I have decided to attempt not to be and share some things about myself that I (at least I don’t think) have not shared before. Nevertheless, enjoy!

First of all..I don’t eat meat

I have not eaten red meat in about 8 1/2, 9 years. This was not due to some crazy health decision or anything, I literally just decided one day that meat was gross. I am the only person in my family who doesn’t eat meat, so being around it 100% doesn’t  bother me- I just don’t like to eat it. I have called myself a “pescatarian” for years, but recently fish has started to gross me out too (I know, I’m weird). This actually freaks me out- because if case comes that I end up not eating fish, than idk what I’m gonna do, LOL! I recently started eating gluten free items & have actually felt better the last couple weeks also. Again, no reason, I just like trying new things. Maybe one day (far, far away), I will share some of my fav “healthy” meals, but for now I’ll just pretend that I’m the best vegan cook in the world and keep all of my amazing (again..LOL) recipes to myself.

Speaking of cooking..NAH

I actually don’t like cooking. This isn’t because I don’t know how, I do- I just prefer not too. Actually, my reasoning is very simple: I am a very impatient person. Being as inpatient as I am means that I can’t just wait until the entire meal is done to start eating- I have to eat along the way too! For example, if I am cooking like a main dish with three sides, I eat all the sides before the main dish is even done. So, by the time the meal is 100% done and all plated & cute, I’ve already eaten half of it so I’m not hungry anymore (HAHAHA..I promise this is my life). This is a weekly struggle for me..hence why cooking is not on my top list of things I love to do.

I am terrified of cats, but I will knock a spider out

Most of my girlfriends hate spiders. Like, they see one & freak out. I, on the other hand, hate spiders but I will kill them no problem. It’s cats I’m deathly afraid of! I feel like all cats are out to get you- thinking of master plans to scratch you in your sleep or something else terrifying. I have no idea where this fear came from- I’ve never been attacked by one or anything, I just really, really don’t like them. I’ve avoided friends houses all together because they had one, that’s how bad it is. I’m actually really okay with this though- most of my friends are dog obsessed just like I am, so no worries there.

I keep a certain type of pen with me at all times, and a notebook

I am so, soo picky when it comes to pens! I only have one brand that I use and always have at least one (normally two) in my purse with me at all times. I have been known to throw an entire paper filled with notes away because I didn’t like my handwriting & will hunt someone down if they steal my pen. Contrary, if I find a pen that I like, like really like, say at work or something, it may or may not somehow find its way to my office. But, I mean- who am I to deny a pen a new home?! I don’t know where this pen obsession came from, but I know it’s not going anywhere anytime soon, so I’ve just accepted it, ha!

I can’t watch more than one Netflix show At a time

I can realistically only watch one Netflix show at a time. It drives me beyond crazy to keep up with fake story lines, like whooo has time for that?! I only have space in my already filled-up brain for one show at a time simply to keep my sanity. Also, to make sure that I don’t waste entire evenings/weekends watching shows that will neither enhance my life or myself in any way. Dramatic, I know, but I just can’t.

My dog Parker has a “Wardrobe”

Being that I am neither married, or have children, my dogs are completely 100% spoiled. I don’t just mean normal spoiled, like I mean it’s bad. My older dog, Parker, had no choice but to wear clothes when he was little & I am convinced this is the reason that he loves them and believes that he is human. Said human also has his own drawer of shirts, polos & sweaters. Parker even has pajamas, a snow coat & a snow hat. The man loves clothes, so who I am to deny him!? HAHA- some of my friends reading this will know how 100% true this is and others won’t believe me, but my dog has enough shirts to last like a whole month without repeating. No shame at all over here! My little one, Izzy, doesn’t like clothes at all though, so at least I have one normal dog, LOL.

I switch my bag out at least 3 times a week

I hate not matching. Not only that, but I also have lots of bags/totes/whatever because I hate not matching. Due to this, I change my bag out at least 3 times a week. I recently got a new tote, so I have not changed my purse out for the last week because the obsession is real with my new one, but I have serious purse commitment issues. So bad that when I travel, I have at least 3 with me  (even for a weekend trip) to make sure I am matching at all times. I will pack a bag inside of a bag, just to make sure I have it- and most of the time I don’t even need or use my extra one! Last summer, I made myself get rid of about 10 designer bags that I had not used the entire year and I still have too many! In my defense, they all come in handy at least once throughout the year.

I actually really like politics

Politics are something I always promised ( & continue to) to never talk about on this blog. Partly because I feel too passionate about them, and partly to simply keep the peace between my readers, who I know all have extremely different views. Politics have always interested me because it’s fascinating how people can have such different views about things & neither one of them being wrong, but simply different. I go as far as to stay away from super political conversations because I get too invested and also because I have very strong opinions and I get too worked up and then have no filter and whatever comes out of my mouth can’t be taken back. So, for that reason alone, right or wrong, I tend to keep my political views to myself, or at least off of the internet. If only others would take this advice, ha!

Lastly…I refuse to go sky diving

Okay- this one is something I know that I’m not the only one, but I just refuse to jump out of a plane. Like I strongly doubt that planes were designed so humans can jump out of them! I can’t fathom the idea and it’s never gonna happen from me. I can’t even like think of the act- it’s literally crazy to me. I’m not afraid of heights or anything and hats off to everyone who thinks skydiving is fun- but I am one person who will never partake in the act.

…& that’s all folks!

I really wish I could think of something else quarky to tell ya’ll..but I really don’t have anything else that I have not shared before. I mean..I’m sure I do if I really think about it..but if I really have to think about it than it’s probably not that interesting anyways, haha! What are some random things about you?! I know I’m not the only one with weird habits in the world.

Until Next Time!
